
My name is Sally Brown. I am the proprietor of Sally
Brown Studio & Gallery based in Marple Bridge, Stockport. I have run the
gallery for the past 12 years specialising in original works. I also exhibit
my own work at the gallery, where I focus mainly on watercolours, oils and
pastels.
Born in 1942 in Derby, Derbyshire where I was trained
and qualified in art and design before embarking on a career as a markup artist
in the mid 60’s to the early 70’s.
Having taken time out to bring up my two children I
decided to integrate my interest in art and business by opening an art gallery
that would be unique to the surrounding area.
The gallery has been very successful during its opening and I
strive to keep its displays interesting to capture the differing tastes of the
browses.
